Three Older Ladies

Not Chester related specifically, although it could well be. There is a lot of gloom around at times nowadays. I’m not going to make any political statement, but you will know yourselves some of the mainstream, not so happy, stories we hear on a daily basis. So, why not try and introduce a bit of humour. A bit of fun. Like this quick joke about three older ladies. Note the subtle difference. Not three old ladies, but three older ladies. As the saying goes, you’re as old as you feel. And another one, age is only a number.

Here we go then, a quick, non offensive, clean joke about three older ladies.

Three Older Ladies

“Three older ladies were discussing the issues and the challenges of getting older.

One said, “Sometimes I catch myself with a jar of mayonnaise in my hand, in front of the refrigerator, and I can’t remember whether I was taking it out or putting it away.”

The second lady said, “Yes, sometimes I find myself on the landing of the stairs, and I can’t remember whether I was on my way up, or on my way down.”

The third lady chimed in, “Well, I’m glad I don’t have those problems. Knock on wood.”

With that, she rapped her knuckles on the table, then said,

“That must be the door. I’ll get it.”

There you go, a harmless, clean joke about the challenges some may face while getting older. A bit of forgetfulness.

I noticed that I’d created a “Just A Bit Of For Fun” category yonks ago but not really used it. So, I thought, why not add some jokes and funny anecdotes to it. As the category title says – “Just A Bit Of Fun“

Some may have laughed at the joke, some may not. If some did then it’s not a joke a family member of mine would repeat. He is always telling jokes and when out with his pals on a Friday night, it is a focal point of the evening. But, he prides himself – also “just a bit of fun” – as being the worst joke teller going. So, if he laughs at this, it’s unlikely it will get an airing next, or any other, Friday.

Anyhow, the “Just A Bit Of Fun” category may well get some more additions looking ahead. And why not. Although all the jokes may not specifically be Chester related, Chester folks all know how to have a laugh. So, watch this space as they say. What next for our “Just A Bit Of Fun” rib tickling snippets?
