Recent Cheshire Police Alerts

Regular visitors may have noticed that there hasn’t been many Cheshire Police Alerts recently. Alerts more often than not provided to me by regular contributor, John from Blacon. Yay!!! Does this mean that there aren’t any recent Cheshire Police Alerts to be aware of? Alas, unfortunately not. Scammers and con people are never far away. As I’ve been busy on other issues, John has been as busy as ever in providing me with the these recent Cheshire Police Alerts. In the last week, he has kindly sent me notifications of two alerts.

Anyway, for whatever reason, I’m posting the information here. rather than do two separate posts, I’ll add all two of them here in the post. So, without any further ado, here’s the most recent Cheshire Police Alerts. Thanks as ever John. So much appreciated.

Before I get into the detail though, you will no doubt notice that these alerts are not necessarily Chester related issues only. No siree, these scams etc are far reaching. So, follow the links and have a read of them. And, spread the word wherever you can. The more people warned the better it is obviously.

Recent Cheshire Police Alerts

The first notification is information to make people more aware of reducing the impact of knife crime in communities. In this week just ending, Cheshire Constabulary announced numerous plans they have in place in support of a national campaign to take knives off the streets and educate people about the dangers of carrying weapons.

Did you know that Cheshire has one of the lowest rates of knife crime in England? Statistics show that the number of knife-related offences committed in the county decreased by 24 per cent in the year from the end of March 2020 to the end of March 2021. Nevertheless, Cheshire Police are determined to further reduce the number of knives carried on Cheshire’s streets.

Recent Cheshire Police Alerts – Pensions Scam Alert

This latest one, as the name suggests, is about Pensions scams. Cheshire Police want to make you aware of the following important information about Pension Scams.

Action Fraud have seen an increase in Pension scams and they have launched a national awareness campaign to remind the public about the importance of doing your research before making changes to your pension arrangements. Have a look at this link HERE for some simple steps as to how to protect yourself from pension scams.

Also, take note of these contact details if you need to report any Pensions scam. Or any other scam for that matter.

Cheshire Police Contact Details

If you think you’ve been a victim of pension fraud, then you should contact your pension provider immediately and report it to Action Fraud online at actionfraud.police.uk or by calling 0300 123 2040.
