Lost and Found
Welcome to our new Lost and Found section here at Chester Lifestyle. The title is self explanatory. In this section you can report anything lost and found.
This of course can be anything of a personal nature, or something specific to a particular neighbourhood. I know only too well how horrible it is to lose something of value, or emotional attachment. Only a few months ago, our young, bundle of fun kitten disappeared for a whole week. It was indeed a very distressing time.
We were out several times a day calling her name and searching in every place we could access really. In addition we also put posters up and posted details on social media websites.
Luckily enough though she wandered back in almost exactly a week later as if nothing had happened and proceeded to eat us out of food.
Lost and Found
If you do have any items lost or found to report, it would help greatly if you supplied as much detail as possible. Ideally, if you had a photograph of whatever it is you have lost or found, then that would be great. It is also worth bearing in mind that this option is not to replace any other methods you choose to publish notifications. You will no doubt agree that the more places you can make people aware the better. Chester Lifestyle is an additional platform for you to consider.
Also, it is worth considering that not everyone are members of Facebook, Twitter or any other social media websites. So, this alternative will provide a wider platform as well as a poster on a tree, or in a window for instance.
It is also fair to say that not everyone will have access to the internet. So if you are aware of a neighbour who has lost or found something who are not on the internet, then maybe you can send details for them.
All posts on here will also be forwarded to my Facebook page and Twitter account anyway. So, a post on here will have even more coverage.
As items are reported I will slot them into more specific categories under the main ‘Lost and Found’ category. In time there will no doubt be categories for pets, pushbikes, handbags etc.
In the ideal world we won’t need to report lost or found items. But in reality, we know that this won’t be the case. Here’s an opportunity to spread the word.
