Flookersbrook Vets
Hello folks, I’m fairly sure that Flookersbrook Vets do not have a website so you cannot see an online update as far as I’m aware. I may be wrong but I think this is the case. In that case, I hope this update message will help. I happened to pop out to get my meds from the chemist in Hoole about an hour or so ago and en route is Flookersbrook Vets (Ermine Road, Hoole).
I had a quick shuftie in the window and there was an A4 message notifying of the latest situation. There was no mention of a website, so I’m guessing this message in the window is the only way to pass the update on. Unless you ring up which will hinder the staff timewise no doubt.
So, what I thought I would do is post their message on my website. At least then, hopefully more people will see it and, where possible, pass the message on.
Here you go then, the latest news from Flookersbrook Vets surgery.
Flookersbrook Vets
The message says:
“The current advice from the Government is that veterinary practices must reduce face-to-face contact immediately, switching to providing emergency care only and fulfilment of urgent prescriptions.
To that end we ask that everyone respects the safe distance policy of 2 metres. Only one person escorts their pet onto the premises. The surgery has three examination rooms so we will apply the strict rule of only one client to be in the waiting room at any one time. Subsequent clients are to remain outside the surgery or in their cars and we will come to you.
Repeat medication should be ordered and paid for over the telephone. We will also post urgent medication for those who need this service.
Veterinary advice and ongoing cases can be discussed over the telephone.
Thanks for your understanding at this uncertain time of pulling together to keep everyone safe.
Signed……
Everyone one at Flookersbrook Vets”
I hope this helps spread the word and possibly saves you an unnecessary trip. There was also a sign in the window saying that the vets were open between 2pm and 6pm today.
For the record, the telephone number for Flookersbrook Vets is 01244-313311.
By the way, it was very, very quiet on my way to the chemists. Eeerily so. Beautiful weather though.
A request if I may. Please spread the word if you can. For all of us that have furry (or not so furry) family members, their health is also so very important to us all.
Our 4 moggies are nodding in unison in agreement!!!
Businesses Other Than Flookersbrook Vets
Writing this has made me think if there are any other local businesses in a similar situation – without an online presence – that would like to get a message out there.
For instance, I mention I went to the chemists in Hoole. The chemists I went to was Boots in Faulkner Street.
For those that are interested, they are open from 9am to 1pm, closed for one hour then 2pm to 5pm. NB: According to Google it is open until 6pm but that is incorrect. They are open until 5pm for the foreseeable future.
Also note, they are only allowing 2 people in the shop at any one time and a strict standing 2 metres apart policy is in place while inside. Therefore queueing outside is a distinct possibility. So, to be on the safe side, maybe take a brolly with you just in case it’s raining.
Let me know if you would like to get a message out there by sending me an email to frank@chesterlifestyle.com.
