For those of us who have pets, we know only too well how valued and treasured our furry (and not so furry) friends are. Did I just say “friends”? Excuse me. They are not just “friends” are they though. No siree, they are much more than that. They are members of the family. Keep that thought, as this post is specifically aimed at bringing something very, very serious to Elton dog owners attention.

Saughall and Mollington & Elton Police have posted a warning to Elton dog owners about an incredibly cruel and mind bogglingly unnecessary activity going on in that location.
Just read this and after you’ve gasped at the incredible cruelty of this, take note and where you can, share the message if possible.
Dog treats laced with glass have been scattered around the Parkland Drive area of Elton. So, Elton dog owners, please take care when walking your dog(s). Also, if you have any information please call 101.
The Mind Boggles
I was going to go and say, if anyone who is doing this despicable act happens to be reading this – “hang your head in shame” – but I realise that this probably would not resonate with them at all.
Yes, it makes your blood boil and yes these perpetrators need to be brought to justice. But maybe in equal measures these “people” need to be identified for another important reason. Quite simply, they need help. And they need help quite urgently and soon.
What pleasure can anyone get out of carrying out such actions? How empty are their lives for the thought to even enter their heads. As I said above, the mind boggles.
As a pet owner I would do almost anything to protect our furry family members. Let’s hope these sickos are soon brought to justice and for their own sakes they get the help they are so desperately in need of. Rant over!!!
Hopefully Elton dog owners are well informed about this. But let’s not forget other areas as well. Stay vigilant and and let’s all try to make sure our family pets stay safe.
And to re-iterate, where possible, spread the word.
