Christmas Tree Festival At Chester Cathedral
As it is December I think it’s only fair that we start to mention what is not far away just around the corner so to speak. No, no, no…..I’m not talking about December 12th and the election. You know I don’t get involved with any political shenanigans (great word that isn’t it!!) on here. No siree!!! I am of course talking about Christmas. And what better way to begin the build up to Christmas than the following event. I am referring to the hugely popular Christmas Tree Festival at Chester Cathedral.

This year sees the event return for its seventh year. So, what is it all about?

Christmas Tree Festival At Chester Cathedral
The Christmas Tree Festival at Chester Cathedral 2019 enables visitors to Chester to escape the hurly burly of Christmas shopping and take some time out to enjoy the spectacle of the impressively assembled tree lined winter walkways.
From the beginning of December onwards you can pop along and see the fantastic displays. Throughout December Chester Cathedral cloisters will be filled with more than 40 stunning Christmas trees.
Visitors are invited to take part and get involved. You will be encouraged to vote for your favourite tree, or trees. There will be winners announced in business and school categories at the closing of the festival. So make sure you pay a visit and get scoring.

If this doesn’t get you in the festive spirit then I don’t know what will. A visit to Chester Cathedral is always an inspiring occasion anyway. But at this time of the year it is truly magical.
As I say, it is an opportunity to escape the throngs of shoppers frantically buying their Christmas gifts. Not only that you can get involved as well. How so?
How To Get Involved
You can get involved by sponsoring and decorating your own 6ft tree in the Cathedral cloisters. You can let your creative juices go wild. So why not get carried away and use your creativity to theme your tree decorations so that they represent your organisation and the work you do.

And, of course, once you have paid a visit you can rejoin the madding crowds and get cracking with even more Christmas shopping. Right on the doorstep of the Christmas Markets at the Town Hall, you can very easily combine both.
