Chester Zoo New Baby Alert
Regular visitors will know that like so many, I am a big fan of Chester Zoo. Again, as said many times, we are so fortunate to have such an impressive world famous attraction on our doorstep. People regularly visit from far and wide. As well as being such a huge attraction, we should always be aware and appreciative of the amazing conservation work Chester Zoo carry out. That’s why any Chester Zoo new baby alert is always of interest.
One such Chester Zoo new baby alert is particularly impressive. Take a bow all those involved in bringing this little ‘un into the world.

What a beauty. The photo above is of a fully grown Blue Eyed Ground Dove. You may well say that you have never seen such a beautiful bird before. And with good reason.
The reason why this chick is so special is because there are only 15 remaining in the wild. That’s why the special team at Chester Zoo have been working with conservationists in Brazil to help save them from extinction.
This tiny little cutie brings a vital lifeline to the species, and it’s only the third time in history that this special species has been raised in human care. The team will now work tirelessly and learn everything they possibly can, with the hope that they can repeat this process each year and help boost the wild population.
That dedication and devotion makes Chester Zoo so very special. Congratulations and a huge well done to all involved. Welcome to the world and welcome to Chester Zoo.
