Popped into Chester Market recently to have a quick look to see if any new stores had opened. The short answer to that is an affirmative. There’s still a lot of fast food places as well. Some might say an imbalance between stalls and eateries, but there are new stalls. And one of the newbies is a nifty gift shop that will no doubt interest many. A new “Chester Zoo At The Market” stall has opened.

Being a big fan of Chester Zoo anyway, it was worth popping in and having a shuftie. As we don’t tend to call into the shop that much at the Zoo as it is, even more reason to have a look. No big surprise to find that it was well stocked with Chester Zoo branded souvenir products and things like a variety of cuddly toys.

A good selection but not as expansive as at the Zoo itself of course as the Chester Market stall is smaller than the shop at the Zoo, but a good choice nevertheless. We did buy something. But I won’t go too much into the pricing faux pas. A price of £12.99 on the shelf, but £17.99 when we got to the till. I did joke, “Wow, I know inflation has been quite rampant, but a fiver increase and we’ve only walked about 5 yards in 5 seconds!!” Anyway, moving on.

Another question I did ask the assistant was whether you could book tickets for the Zoo in the market stall. The answer was a “no.” I’m not sure if that’s something Chester Zoo may be thinking of introducing into the market stall.

Any way, just a quick post to mention the new “Chester Zoo At The Market” stall and how we found it to be. I hope you enjoy your visits there.
