Chester Food And Drink
Looking for something to do this Bank Holiday, Easter Monday? Not sure what the weather will be doing so, to be on the safe side, you may well be looking for something more indoors. Why not take a trip down to The Roodee, Chester Racecourse and have a look at the Chester Food And Drink Festival? To see more fully what is on offer, take a look at the Chester Food And Drink website, by clicking HERE.
Having visited this event myself previously, it is fair to say there is a lot going on to interest all. You can take a look at what is happening by clicking the website link above, but in addition to this I spoke to some who visited the event yesterday.
Here is what they thought of it…..

Chester Food And Drink
The first thing that was mentioned was that there were many exhibitors to choose from. Such a lot of interesting and varied stallholders by all accounts. Some local, some from afar. Cheese, pickles, alcoholic beverages, meats, herbs and plants and so on. You could of course sample some of the produce on offer before buying. There was also a variety of mobile stalls where you could buy your own ready made takeaway. Fancy an Elk Burger anyone?
The chef presentations were also well received and points and tips noted. I must admit, I do like my cheeses. So I am pleased to see our fridge well stocked with fancy cheeses (well, fancy to me anyhow) such as Mature Cheddar with Garlic and Herbs. That’s not all. How’s about, Rhubarb and Ginger Cheshire Cheese? Get’s my vote.
Or, what about Caramelised Onion & Rioja Cheddar – fair do’s, how do they think of these flavour combinations?
Liking a bit of spice in my life, I’ll soon be sampling the delights of Red Leicester with Chillies and Crushed Pepper no doubt. For pudding, what about Strawberries & Cream with Champagne Cheshire Cheese. And to finish off with, Mature Cheddar with Whiskey and, or Cheddar with Crystallised Ginger.
So much to choose from. By all accounts the event is very well organised. The stalls are well staffed by friendly and helpful staff, with all stalls neatly and professionally laid out.
Whoever started the Chester Food and Drink event should give themselves a big pat on the back. So, if you are considering what to do tomorrow, then you may like to visit the Chester Food and Drink Festival on The Roodee.
Don’t take all the cheese though. Leave some for me, I’ve just bought a load of crackers!! Whatever you decide to do tomorrow, have a great day. Speak soon!!
PS – It is on tomorrow between 10am and 5pm. Enjoy!!!
