Age UK Donation Bag Scam
As previously mentioned it was hoped that these scams would subsist during this current climate particularly. If not from a practical viewpoint, but in a naive hope of these scammers would show some sort of compassion. But no, practically, the scammers can still get out and about. More disappointingly and yes I agree, I am being a bit naive maybe, the scammers carry on relentlessly. With so many trials and tribulations to contend with, any sign of a let up? Unfortunately not. Anyway, here’s the latest. It is regarding an Age UK donation bag scam.

Cheshire Police Alert – Age UK Donation Bag Scam 21/04/2020
Dear Resident,
We have had reports of people posing as representatives of Age UK. They have been dropping off donation bags for clothing and arranging for their collection.
We have spoken to Age UK and they have confirmed they have suspended this service during the current COVID 19 situation.
Please stay extra vigilant for this type of scam and report any concerns via our Cheshire Police website or 101. Or call 999 in an emergency.
