Chester Boat Winter Trips
It’s one of the highlights of a nice summer’s day in Chester. Pop down to The Groves and enjoy a relaxing few moments sat on a bench quietly watching the world go by. Maybe enjoy an ice cream, or a cheeky snack while you’re at it. If you really want to make the most of it, why not jump on a Chester Boat river trip?
If you are a regular summer visitor to The Groves you will see Chester Boat’s three main leisure boats embarking on their many daily excursions. The boats, The Lady Diana, Mark Twain and The Jackie are normally well populated as they set off on their sightseeing adventures.
But, as we all know, summer seems to come and go far too quickly. Before you know it, the autumn leaves are falling and the boats are but a distant summer memory. Even so, that does not deter visitors still heading off down to The Groves. I do it myself many times. If it’s not raining and warm enough, why not pop down and enjoy your lunch in such idyllic, peaceful surroundings.
I’m not the only one. There are many others that have the same idea. This winter I’ll still continue to cycle down and reacquaint myself with the swans and the ducks.
But this year promises to be different. Yes, this year Chester Boat will be continuing with their leisure trips up and down the river.
Chester Boat Winter Trips
More specifically, Chester Boat have announced that trips will continue during November, December and January in response to growing demand for leisure trips in our beautiful city.
All three of the showcase boats have been upgraded with new engines early in 2019. Their original, flag ship vessel, The Lady Diana, has also enjoyed an impressive refurbishment.
Having invested in their boats and their crew over the last year or so, it was felt that it was time for Chester Boat to satisfy the increase in demand during the winter months.
If you haven’t been on a Chester Boat river trip you really should try it. A really relaxing, leisurely cruise while taking in some really impressive scenery along the way.
Chester Boat tours offer a range of options. As well as a sightseeing trip you can also enjoy some themed cruises. Or you can hire one of the boats for your own special party. With Christmas coming up, it could well be a novel and popular venue for a works Christmas party.
Quite a few options as you can see. I have many happy memories of trips on the Lady Diana over the years. So, speaking from experience, give it a whirl. You won’t be disappointed.
