New Kit For Chester RUFC
Just in time for the forthcoming new season, a local, title winning sports team have received a much needed and so well deserved boost. The boost has come in the form of a new kit for Chester RUFC. For many years Chester RUFC 3rd XV have had to turn out in hand downs from the Rugby Club’s second team. But not this season coming. They will finally have a kit of their own.
New Kit For Chester RUFC
The team have received a sponsorship deal to the tune of £2,000 from Hadlow Edwards Wealth Management Ltd, a finance firm from Wrexham. As it happens, a director of Hadlow Edwards, Tom Hadlow who lives in Chester, plays for the 3rd XV.
As a reward for their title winning campaign last time out in the Sale Sharks Division Two, Hadlow Edwards have ensured the 3rd XV enter the field of play in style.
What a great effort by the 3rd XV and a brilliant contribution from Hadlow Edwards. Both are worthy of a special mention.
Chester RUFC – What A Fine Set Up
Apart from a new kit for Chester RUFC, what else has been going on down Hare Lane? Quite a fair bit it seems.
A few weeks ago I went on a bit of a bike ride and wandered down Hare Lane. It’s many, many years since I ventured down Hare Lane. While bombing along I stopped in at the Rugby Club for a bit of a nose – as you do!!
And what a surprise it was. A surprise in the pleasant sense. What a fine set up. From the well sized main stand, the immaculately presented, synthetic pitch, to the club house, everything looked so very impressive.
While I was there, there was some serious painting and decorating going on in the clubhouse. And, might I add, it wasn’t just the painting contractors getting stuck in. The Chairman of the Club was also having a right go.
From a quick conversation with the Chairman, it seems that there is always plenty that needs to be going on behind the scenes. While chatting, it dawned on me that there must be a fair few local, sports loving fans who are not fully up to speed about the achievements and the set up at the Rugby Club.
Footballing City
Maybe this is because Chester is a predominantly football city. Not only with regard to Chester FC themselves, but Chester is right on the doorstep of footballing Premier League giants, Liverpool, Everton, Manchester City and Manchester United. Not to mention Tranmere Rovers is Division One.
Or, is it the location? If the club was a bit more centrally situated, everyone would more readily see what a great set up there is going on. Looking at the facilities and the achievements they have enjoyed at various levels, it seems that the structure and the future prospects are more deserving of greater local recognition and showcasing their on-field talents at a higher level.
So, if it is the location, then let me make you aware of where they are (Hare Lane, Vicars Cross) and also take it from me, you won’t be disappointed when you take a trip down there.
With the season beginning next month, I think I’ll wander down there again and see if I can get some more updates from the Chairman. Watch this space!!
A New Kit For Chester RUFC – Sponsorship Deals
Having already mentioned the generous contribution from Hadlow Edwards, I think it’s also well worth mentioning that the Club are always on the look out for new sponsors at various levels. Kit sponsorship, as above, player sponsorships, matches, match balls etc.
So, any sports loving businesses out there looking for a way to expand their brand and put something back into the community at the same time, then why not contact the club for a chat. You can find out more about the club HERE.
I’ve just had a thought!!! Maybe I should contact Dave, the Chairman, about seeing if we can develop an ongoing dialogue and, maybe….just maybe….include their sponsors and potential sponsors as well in forthcoming posts etc?
I’ll give him a ring.
Function Rooms In Chester
As already stated, the set up at Chester Rugby Club is excellent. This also includes the function room they have available. I have done a post a short while ago about the excellent function room they have available. In case you haven’t seen it, you can find it HERE.
