Visit The Groves And Enjoy The Sun

As readers will know there are quite a few places I really love in our beautiful city. Chester Zoo of course is one. An absolutely stunning attraction, not only for us lucky Cestrians. But also for visitors from far and wide. Another place that is high up on my list is The Groves alongside the River Dee. In this weather particularly, why not visit The Groves and enjoy the sun. It is really a fantastic place to sit on a bench and watch the world go by.

Visit The Groves

My favourite spec is by the bandstand. I often get myself a sandwich and pop down to The Groves on my bicycle and just simply chill and relax. Just watch the world go by generally. Fabulous.

You could say you could put this particular location anywhere in the world and it’s status as a stunning beauty spot would shine through anywhere.

There are several ice cream booths and ice cream shops where you can buy an ice cream and cool down. Also, you will find excellent restaurants and bars for you to chill and enjoy a cool, ice laden drink and have a bite to eat.

Visit The Groves And Enjoy A Sightseeing Boat Trip

Anyone visiting The Groves will no doubt have noticed the various rowing boats and small motor boats. A great way to enjoy the weather and see the sights.

Alternatively though, you can just sit back and relax on one of the showpiece cruise boats that regularly meander up and down the river. Chester Boats have three such boats. The Lady Diana, the Mark Twain and The Jackie. Thirty minute trips are available on a daily basis. Or, you may fancy one of the longer excursions? A private charter maybe? There are plenty of options for you to consider.

Whatever the reason for your trip, if you are planning to visit The Groves, I am sure you will enjoy your time there. It is a place to savour and we are very grateful we have it right on our doorstep.
