The Hole In Wand
Here’s something quite different to look forward to. And something else to add to your diary. The Hole In Wand is due to open in Eastgate Street on 22nd May. This will be the third one to open in the UK, following on from York and Blackpool.
But what is The Hole In Wand? Let’s take a closer look shall we.
The Hole In Wand
As mentioned, it is to open in Eastgate Street. Just about opposite the EE shop on the right as you head towards the Eastgate Clock from The Cross.
The Potion’s Cauldron Group, who own The Hole In Wand, have chosen Chester as their next location as part of their major expansion drive. The company is already on the look out for new staff. The position of a Venue Manager (Chief Wizard), to help run the 9-hole attraction, is up for grabs.
In October 2023, the group celebrated five magical years of business in October 2023 and they already have ‘The Hole In Wand’ mini golf attractions in both York and Blackpool. They also own retail outlets under the brand name of ‘The Potions Cauldron.’ One of them is also located in York and the other in another historic city, Edinburgh.
To play the 9-hole mini golf attraction will cost from only £6.99 per player. Each player will also receive one of the signature potions to take away depending on the score they achieve. A potion that is worth £3.49 and made by The Potions Cauldron Group.
What To Expect From The Hole In Wand
The attraction is set to be open all year round, which will of course cater for tourists and local residents alike. The aim of your whole experience is to create some truly magical memories.
As co- founder and Chief Enhancement Officer, Ben Fry, said: “Chester is steeped in its own history, much like York and Blackpool therefore Chester is the perfect city for The Hole In Wand mini golf to continue its expansion in the UK.”
Fellow co-founder, Phil Pinder added: “Each golf course has its own magical story based on the history of the area with York focused heavily on the Georgian period, Blackpool on the Pendle Valley and Witches trials, Chester naturally lends itself to Roman inspiration with a dash of Unicorn!”
As we all know here in Chester, we’re not short of historic events, memories and so many other things of interest.
