Thanks To The Volunteers
Almost every day we are seeing some fantastic instances of people stepping forward and making a difference. A huge difference in so many positive ways. I think it’s only right that we take the opportunity to say thanks to the volunteers. Without them the current situation and their individual plights would be so much different.
I’m sure there will be others in addition to the ones mentioned here. So, I am expecting that this particular thread of “thanks to the volunteers” will be added to along the way.
But let’s start the ball rolling and offer our thanks and gratitude to these stars.
Thanks To The Volunteers
I must say I was amazed when I heard about this particular contribution to the cause. There is a gentleman in Boughton, by the name of Jeffrey Moore, who makes, plates up and delivers Sunday lunches to the more vulnerable. Oh and he provides a Wednesday night curry service as well.
Working from home and making my own cheese on toast for lunch is often a chore. Even if cooking, or cheffing (if that’s a word), is your forte, to volunteer such a service must be a mammoth task. So, a big thanks to Jeffrey for his amazing service.

Thanks To The Volunteers – Lilian’s Local Care Homes PPE Contribution
Another fantastic effort by Lilian from Upton. Recognising the need for local care homes PPE equipment, Lilian enlisted the help of other volunteers and, like Jeffrey, goes the extra mile and beyond.
Lilian and her team produce and provide necessary PPE equipment to local care homes. Such an important and a vital support service to the cause. Without any real Governmental support, Lilian’s efforts are priceless.

Thanks To The Volunteers – Buttons Required
Here’s an article I have already written about before I heard about Jeffrey and Lilian. However, it is still worth an additional mention here.
A lady by the name of Anne made an appeal for people to offer up any spare buttons they did not need. By all accounts she had a great response. The reason for the buttons was so that she could make as many headbands for NHS staff as she could.
Another very important and welcome service. The full details of Anne’s request can be seen by clicking HERE and in this article HERE.
As I mentioned above I fully expect that this particular thread will be added to in due course. If you know of any “going the extra mile” services offered, then drop me a line.
Thanks for reading and a huge thanks to the volunteers.
