Hoole Beer Festival

Weekend is almost upon us folks and our thoughts may well turn to things to do. Some of you may already have your plans in place. Others may not. If you have, your plans may involve a trip to the Hoole Beer Festival. If you haven’t yet made any plans, why not visit the Hoole Beer Festival?

I’m no weather expert, but I believe the weather forecast is good for the weekend. If it is, what better combination can you think of. Good beer, great weather….and the footie season starting!!

The weekend extravaganza commences at 5pm today, Friday 3rd August at Hoole Community Centre. It lasts all weekend, so if you can’t make today, there’s always Saturday and Sunday.

For those that don’t know by the way, Hoole Community Centre is on Westminster Road. It is an iconic 150 year old building that is used for many events and occasions. Locally it is a very popular venue for a variety of events.

The Festival itself will see the return of a wide choice of beers and ciders for you to sample. Last year for instance, the inaugural Beer Festival last summer attracted over 1000 people who were presented with a choice of 35 pub quality, cooled craft cask and keg beer on hand pull, a speciality gin and wine bar with award winning street food and some of Chester’s finest musical entertainment.

Over the three days there will be Corporate Sponsorship VIP sessions, a child friendly Saturday afternoon and a ‘Sunday Brunch’ session for a more chilled out atmosphere. The child friendly Saturday afternoon session will also include children’s entertainment to keep your little ones occupied.

Although the beers and ciders are all available in the main hall served from a purpose built bar, punters can also take the opportunity to relax outside in the sunshine.

It’s not only about beer and cider though. You will also be able to enjoy live music and sample a variety of street food. If beer or cider is not your tipple, then why not sample a speciality gin or two….go on, you know you want to!!!!

Also, for those that attend who are not from Hoole, it may be worth checking out the many other amenities that Hoole has to offer. Or should I say, Notting Hoole. Plenty of places to socialise in in Hoole. Also, don’t forget about the many, bespoke, local shops either that offer some great merchandise.
