Help To Save Our Hospice

You may recall I wrote a post a few weeks ago about the difficulties our local Hospice Of The Good Shepherd found itself in. If you didn’t see the post first time round, you can see it HERE. Well following on from that, I have had details of a “Help To Save Our Hospice” fundraising event sent to me.

Help To Save Our Hospice

“The Hospice of the Good Shepherd depends on fundraising events like The London Marathon for its income. Only 24% of its income comes from statutory sources.

The COVID-19 pandemic is hitting charities very hard because fundraising events have been cancelled..

The 2.6 Challenge began on Sunday 26th April, and as I write it has already raised nearly £8 Million for UK charities.

Many of us will have had first hand experience of our hospice, and recognise what a wonderful place it is, run by amazing caring professional people.

My 2.6 Challenge is to cycle 10 miles every day for 26 consecutive days, come rain come shine.
