Fatal Practice By Bryan Lawson

Hello folks, hope all is well with you all. Regular visitors to my website will know that I have featured Chester born author, Bryan Lawson, before on my website. In case you can’t remember, I’ll post the links to my other posts below. Anyway, Bryan has been in touch to tell me about his latest novel. This one is called Fatal Practice and it is the third book in the Drake and Hepple Mysteries sequence.

What is Fatal Practice about? Well read on and you will find out more……

Fatal Practice

Bryan did mention after his second Drake and Hepple offering that his next one would again be a Chester based mystery. And so it is in the main although there is some action from overseas. 

And so to the plot……

Fatal Practice is the third of Bryan Lawson’s series of Drake and Hepple mysteries.

The story so far….

“The much-admired international architectural practice of PDS Architects is to lead a programme of designing a series of public buildings for the UK Government that demonstrate the latest best practice in sustainability. This had been the idea of DCI Drake’s wife Cynthia who died before the programme got going.

Principal architect, Sir Julian Porter, fails to turn up to the launch of this programme. Drake and his assistant DS Grace Hepple are called on to investigate. They begin their work in the historic city of Chester where Sir Julian Porter’s architectural practice is located. Drake soon discovers that Sir Julian seems to have made many enemies. Some strangely mutilated bodies soon become“………….oh, you want more!!!!

I’m sorry but you’ll have to buy it to find out how things develop.

Fatal Practice – Over A Year In The Making

Bryan’s latest has been over a year in the making. It goes to show how much care and thought can go into the writing of a novel. In Bryan’s own words, this is how he saw the production of Fatal Practice…..

“This book has been with me for over a year. It has become like an old friend. Perhaps parents might like to think of it as more like bringing up a child. It is actually quite hard to say goodbye. To accept that I am no longer improving it. To come to terms with this being what you, the reader will actually get”.

Christmas Is Coming
