Craft Beer Festival
I reckon this will tick a lot of boxes for so many of you. Tomorrow, 21st April, The Carriage Shed (right next to Chester Station) hosts this really popular looking Craft Beer Festival event. More and more The Carriage Shed seems to be hosting a good variety of interesting events. This of course is no exception.
I do like a beer or two myself and my preference is cask ales, so this looks like a winner for me. I can recall the very first beer festival I attended at the Students Union at Sheffield Polytechnic back in 1981 (Ouch….doesn’t that seem a long time ago when you see it in black and white!!!). Actually it is a long time ago. Thirty seven years to be precise. How on earth did they let me in in short pants and school satchel!! Oh, the joys of youth.
In short, a craft beer festival is an event well worth attending if you like your beer. Even though I do like a cask ale I don’t regard myself as an expert. I’m not a chin stroker. I like my certain types of ale and tend to stick to them really. Anyway, I digress.
What about the Chester Craft Beer Festival tomorrow?
Craft Beer Festival
The event is being hosted by Beer Heroes on 21st April as I said. There will be 10 local breweries displaying more than 80 different types of the very best selections of their craft beer and cider. Not only beer though. The Craft Beer Festival will also welcome some great, tasty artisan food vendors together with live music and DJs.
Will we see craft beer swilling ladies dancing around their handbags after a couple of cheeky ones and a burger?
All in all a day not to be missed by the looks of it.

Date & Time
21st April 2018
11:00 – 21:30
Location
Carriage Shed
After sampling some of the fine wares on offer at The Carriage Shed, why not pop along to a couple of good ale pubs very close to The Carriage Shed afterwards. To be more precise, The Deva Tap is only a five minute walk away, just around the corner at the beginning of Brook Street. And actually in Brook Street itself, why not try the award winning The Olde Cottage. Well worth a trip both of them.
Just in case you are not aware of what The Carriage Shed is, take a look HERE to find out more about it.
Is anyone thinking of attending? If so, why not post a comment below and let us know what it was like.
If you do attend, enjoy it. But remember, drink sensibly
