Covid Recovery Grant Update

Hello folks and in particular local small business owners. Have a read of this very important message. Here follows details of an update on the Covid Recovery Grant. It may be worth having a closer look at.

Covid Recovery Grant Update

The grant is administered locally by the Cheshire & Warrington Growth Hub. They have provided the following information:

“Businesses can now access more information about the grant and find out how to apply when the grant opens for the first round of applications 12.00 noon on 28 September 2020.

The C&W Covid Recovery Grant will support SME businesses across Cheshire & Warrington affected by Covid 19. 

The grant will be up to 100% of the cost of consultancy support (to a maximum value of £5,000).

Funded By ERDF

The programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and these grants are only available to SMEs, full eligibility details can be found below here in this post.

The grant will help SMEs to access consultancy support in a wide range of specialisms which will assist businesses in their recovery efforts, such as:

• Marketing 
• Digital Services 
• HR, Financial and Legal Services*
• Business Management and Strategic Planning 
• Product Development and Process Management 

*where the business can demonstrate that these are used to restructure, adapt and address the changes to business practices arising from the coronavirus.

Application Information

Before applications open we would advise you to carefully read the application guidance and assessment criteria and utilise the time to collect the information required to assess your application.

A Grant Worth Taking A Look At

In these rather strange times we find ourselves in, any offer of assistance for small businesses should be welcomed. This grant is most welcome and well worth taking a closer look at.

Speak to Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub. And don’t be put off by the application. As I mentioned in my original post, I used to work for Blue Orchid. Blue Orchid initially were part of the team administering and managing the C&W Growth Hub.

Also having worked for the Audit Commission, I am familiar with ERDF grants. To some businesses the process may seem to be a daunting. It’s not. Don’t be put off. And, as I say, get in touch with the Growth Hub. They’ll guide you through it. They are there to help.
