Chester Makers Market
You may or may not recall I posted about a Chester Makers Market event back in October. In case you didn’t read it (shame on you!!), or have forgotten about it (again, shame on you!!), you can find the link to the original post HERE. Well, not to worry if you didn’t read the original article, or missed the event itself. There is another Chester Makers Market coming up this Saturday, 7th April.
Chester Makers Market
You will see from my original post (go on read it, you know you want to!!) that it was a big success. I must admit I don’t mind a browse around the odd market or two myself. The Chester Makers Market event I attended was well attended and offered plenty of options for all visitors.
What’s On Offer?
If the one I attended in late September is anything to go by, then there will be plenty on offer. According to the official website – full details HERE -visitors can expect to find delicious, local food and drink. Local arts and crafts, homeware and vintage stalls are very popular. As are the award-winning street food, live music and cookery demonstrations to round off the day.
Chester Makers Market is an excellent opportunity to find out the origins of your food. Not only that, you can meet the makers of all the goodies on display, “fill your boots” and your bags to your heart’s content. Why not stop and have a chat with some of the stallholders? I did in September and found them all to be very friendly and passionate about the products they were offering.
I don’t know all the stalls that will be there, but I do know of a few of them. But as no-one has offered me a “freebie” I am not going to plug them!! Only joking!! Although I do know a fair few of the traders who will be present, there are too many to mention in this post. The best thing you can do is pop along yourself and have a look. You won’t be disappointed.
Where Is Carriage Shed?
Oh yes, I forgot to say where Carriage Shed is. Well simply, it is right next to Chester Railway Station. If you were coming out of the station it is immediately to the left – about 100 yards (if that) from the station entrance.
It begins at 10am and runs until 4pm. So plenty of time to get down there and take a look. Oh and finally, it is FREE to enter. Look forward to seeing you there.
