Business Services

Since starting this website quite a lot of items have been discussed in a variety of topics. These topics cover both business and non business sectors. To develop the website even further and to provide a more varied service to visitors and contributors, it is my intention to provide other features. For instance, there are a range of business services I can offer that will hopefully assist our local businesses.

And, of course, a quick update since the pandemic hit us all. It is more and more important for businesses now to have an online presence. This can take shape in a variety of ways. But, an online presence is becoming so much more prevalent. The Government are playing their part where they can. The latest scheme made available offers grants to small businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. For more details have a look at a blog post I wrote about it HERE.

Business Services

When I say business services I include in this non-profit organisations as well. So, what are these business services?

Not necessarily exhaustive (other services may well be added in time), these are currently available.

Video Agency Service

As the old saying says “there are statistics, damn statistics and lies”. Where would we be without statistics nowadays? The current view is that videos are very much the way forward. For instance it has been said that (not by me but the “gurus”):

So, it is clear that videos are an important part of business services that every business should be looking to develop.

It is my intention to offer a video agency service for businesses. I’m not talking about huge “Steven Spielberg” big productions. I’m talking about short, informative, snappy promo (or explainer) videos that get the message across without any unnecessary drama.

In addition to the production of videos themselves however I will also be looking to add something else. Of course each client will receive any videos that are produced for them to do with as they wish. So, every client can, for instance, upload these short videos to their own websites. Or they can upload them to their own Social Media accounts – Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube to name just a few.

Not only that though. I will also offer the additional option of these videos being featured here on Chester Lifestyle. Probably the best way to feature these videos is to include them in either a business listing and/or a blog post. More on business listings and blog posts below.

Spreading The Word

As well as being featured here on Chester Lifestyle, clients will also have the option of having their videos syndicated to a wide range of social media accounts, bookmark websites and blogs. Thereby exposing the exposure even more.

A further optional add on is that I also upload them and feature them in my own Chester Lifestyle Social Media accounts.

Other Business Services…

Business Listings

A business can also set up a business listing on this website. There are two types of listings. A free listing and a premium listing. A free listing will provide basic details of a business, whereas a premium listing will include a whole lot more. This may be integration with any Social Media accounts you may have for instance.

If you don’t have any Social Media presence, I can help with that also. Included in the premium listing is the opportunity to showcase any videos that have been produced for you. All business listings will also be forwarded to my Chester Lifestyle Social Media accounts.

There are though so many other business directories that businesses should be aware of. Taking care of this would be part of the GMB service mentioned below.

Blog Posts

Another of the business services available will be blog posts. This is another very effective way for a business to get their message across. You may have a certain special event coming up. Or, you may have a special offer you would like to promote? So why not blog about it? Yes, you may already have your own blog. If you have why not increase the coverage?

And of course if you do not have your own blog, even more reason to blog about it here.

All blog posts will be search engine optimised and also promoted on my own Chester Lifestyle Social Media accounts.

What about a combination of a blog post and a short, promo video? Throw in a listing as well and you will have the full set!!

Again, a blog post can be a standalone service. Or, as mentioned above you can include a video in a blog post as well.

Google My Business (GMB) Optimisation

As far as business services go this is so vital and yet, so unknown to so many businesses. It is fully understandable that small businesses do not have the time to be aware and keep on top of the GMB requirements to keep their business at the forefront of their competitors.

Events Manager

As far as business services are concerned, an Events Manager section is just as much, if not more, an opportunity for non-profit organisations to showcase their upcoming events. Whether you have a one-off event, or a regular event for your group, business or organisation, why not promote it on my Events Manager section soon to be implemented?

Is Your Website Secure?

It’s surprising how many websites are still not secure. But does your website need to be secure?

SSL certificates are most often used by e-businesses, e-tailers and other operations that involve credit and debit card transactions. So, SSL certification is absolutely necessary in these cases. It is imperative to keep financial details safe as it is being transmitted. Without an SSL certificate, it is all too easy for hackers to steal and misuse this kind of personal information.

But SSL certification should also be used by any website that uses a form or other method to transmit information. From a simple e-newsletter sign-up to an account login, any transmission should be protected by the basic security offered by an SSL cert.

Starting in July 2018, Google Chrome now mark all HTTP sites as “not secure,” according to a blog post published by Chrome security product manager Emily Schechter. I have checked many, many websites and it’s surprising how many are not secure.
