Famous People In Chester - Brutus The Morrisons Cat

The ever loved and oh so famous – Brutus The Morrisons Cat

As well as captivating visitors to Morrisons over the years during his sadly too short life, Brutus now lives on. Yesterday a well sculptured statue of Brutus was unveiled to leave a permanent legacy to the feline star. In addition to Brutus owners, Claire and Adam Owens, plenty more turned up for the first glimpses of the tribute.

A well known TV personality was also there to add to the celebrations. Ted Robbins revealed the permanent bronze tribute at 1pm yesterday afternoon. You can also read more of how events unfurled HERE and see a great video tribute to Brutus as well.

Nice to see you back where you belong Brutus.

Chester Earn Point Against Ebbsfleet

In other news, Chester FC played out a hard earned 1-1 draw with Ebbsfleet. After the departure of manager Jon McCarthy a few days earlier, Chester took to the field under the guidance of caretaker manager, Tom Shaw.

As in so many home games over the last 9 months, Chester fell behind. But, to their credit they drew level with an equaliser from James Akintunde. As well as his goal, Akintunde featured prominently throughout with his hard work on and off the ball.

All in all a draw was the least Chester deserved as Ebbsfleet continued their long unbeaten run.
