Down At The Golf Club

Another light-hearted, clean bit of fun. I’m not a golfer but I’m pretty sure there’s many a non-golf conversation had and business deals struck down at the golf club. It’s not always necessarily the case, but quite often golf club members are known to have a bob or two. As I say, not always the case. But in this “Just A Bit Of Fun” humour, this fella seems to be well off.

Down At The Golf Club

Some would say that it would be great to be in such a strong financial position. Money to burn others may say. Anyhow, have a read of this following joke. Do you know anyone as well off as this guy?

“Several men are in the changing rooms at their golf club. Suddenly a mobile phone on a bench rings out and one of the golfer promptly answers it and engages in a hands-free conversation with the caller. Like so, while everyone else in the room stopped to listen.

Golfer: “Hello?”

Woman’s Voice: “Hi darling, it’s me. Are you at the club?”

Golfer: “Yes.”

Woman: “I am at the shopping centre now and I’ve found this beautiful leather coat. It’s only £5,000. Is it OK if I get it?”

Golfer: “Sure, go ahead if you like it that much.”

Woman: “I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw a lovely new sporty model. There is one I really like. Can I buy it?”

Golfer: “How much?”

Woman: “£150,000.″

Golfer: “OK, but for that price I want it with all the options.”

Woman: “That’s great darling! Thank you so much. Oh, and one more thing… the house I wanted last year is back on the market! They’re asking £2.5 million for it.″

Golfer: “Well, if it’s what you really want, then go ahead and make them an offer of £2 mil. They will probably take it. If not, we can go the extra £500,000 if it’s really a pretty good price.”

Woman: “Ok. I’ll see you later! Thank you. I love you so much!”

Golfer: “Bye! I love you, too.”

The man hangs up. The other men in the changing room are staring. Totally dumbstruck, looking at him in astonishment, mouths agape.

He turns and asks: “Anyone know who this phone belongs to?”

Down At The Golf Club Moral To The Story

Well, there isn’t one actually. It’s just a harmless bit of fun joke. Mind you, whoever’s phone it was would have had a big surprise when he got home. And I don’t mean in the way of an unexpected meal on the table!! Or the phone bill.
