Chester Zoo Events Coming Up

Regular visitors to my website will know that I am a big fan of our world famous visitor attraction, Chester Zoo. As are so many others, both locally and from afar. I’ve said many times. We are so lucky to have it right on our doorstep. Without doubt an excellent day out at any time of the year. Anyway, enough of my outpouring of admiration of all things Chester Zoo. What is this post about? Well, as the heading says, it is about Chester Zoo events coming up. A normal day out visit is a good enough experience, but when the Zoo add to the experience with an added sideshow, even better. Let’s have a look at what else Chester Zoo has to offer shall we.

Chester Zoo Events Coming Up

Movie fans everywhere will instantly recognise one of the classic movie lines of all time. It is taken from a clip shown umpteen times. And that line is, “I think we’re gonna need a bigger boat!!” And the film in case you didn’t already know, was Jaws. If anyone doesn’t know what the film Jaws is all about, then stop reading here I reckon. I’m sure you all know that Jaws is all about that nice little friendly little fishy who made a habit of getting up real close and personal when affectionately greeting people daring enough to enter the sea.

When I say “nice little friendly little fishy” I do in fact mean a Carcharodon Carcharias. Or, a Great White Shark to you and me in layman terms. Yes indeed, a big fishy. They can grow to be as big as an average of 15 feet in length, although specimens exceeding 20 feet and weighing up to 5,000 pounds have been recorded. Imagine one of those rascals swimming up and down The Groves on a Sunday morning!! But fear not folks. Your Sunday stroll along The Groves won’t be interrupted by shouts of fear of, “Get outta the water, get outta the water!!” No siree. But you will be able to enjoy a safe experience of getting to know more about the Carcharodon Carcharias at our world famous Chester Zoo.

Planet Shark: Predator or Prey is coming to Chester Zoo this May!
