Covid Booster In Cheshire
Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, took time off from dodging questions about parties and such like, to announce details of the importance and the need for us all to have a Covid Booster before the end of the year. So, where can you have a Covid Booster in Cheshire? Take a look at the information below and see which location best fits you. Fortunately, I had mine a couple of weeks ago before this expected mad rush.
Mind you, even then it wasn’t that straightforward. I initially phoned 119 and the person I spoke to recommended two options for me. Shrewsbury or Manchester. At this point I wasn’t quite sure why me providing my postcode was of any relevance, as the option of Shrewsbury was particularly pushed. The alternative was (if not booking Shrewsbury) was to keep phoning back to see if any options in Chester opened up. Instead though what I did was to try booking online a couple of days later. Lo and behold by going online I saw plenty of options for Boots in Foregate Street and Vicars Cross. Result. I booked in at Boots and job’s a good ‘un!!
So that’s me all double jabbed and boosted up. What’s next I wonder?
Anyway, more details of those options for you to get your Covid Booster in Cheshire.
Covid Booster In Cheshire
Just to clarify, the following information is as at today’s date. I would imagine as the days go by it may be worth keeping a close eye on these options.
Have a look at these venues, but before you do, also take note that the NHS website is currently operating a queuing system due to “extremely high demand” with online bookings opening to everyone aged 30 and over as from December 13. The national booking service will then open up to those aged 18 and over from Wednesday, December 15.
You must book a slot which is two months after the date you received a second dose of the vaccine (61 days). The race to offer a booster to every adult comes in response to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant. The NHS is prioritising bookings for boosters and GP teams will be asked to clinically prioritise their services to support the Covid vaccination programme, alongside delivering critical appointments such as cancer, urgent and emergency care.
In Cheshire, booster vaccinations are being delivered at dozens of GP and pharmacy-led vaccination centres.
