Businesses Wanted To Take Part In BBC Two Series

Here’s something that may very well be of interest to many local, Chester businesses. I recently received a message from a producer working on a popular BBC Two series. Basically, she enquired whether I would reach out and spread the word about an upcoming episode of “Interior Design Masters” presented by Alan Carr. In a forthcoming episode in the new series three, there are businesses wanted to take part in this BBC Two series.

Allow me to elaborate further.

The message that I am sure will be of interest to many businesses reads:

“I’m a producer working on the new series of BBC Two’s Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr. We are currently looking for businesses to take part and would love to visit Chester. I’m wondering if you might be able to help reach out to local business owners in Chester? We’re looking for shops, bars, cafes and restaurants who might be looking for a revamp.”

You may already be familiar with the programme. But if you’re not, continue reading for a bit more information about the series. Ten budding interior designers compete against each other to win a professional design contract. Each one of them are set challenges each week to redesign various spaces. This could be show homes, hotels, salons etc. One interior designer is eliminated after each challenge until we’re left with a winner.

The last series broadcast – series two – received in the region of 3 million viewers per episode. So you can see that there is the opportunity to reach a sizeable audience. Series two is currently available on BBC iPlayer.

Businesses Wanted To Take Part In Series Three

Filming for series three will begin on the 7th June and filming will take place on Monday to Thursday every other week until the middle of September. At this stage it isn’t known for sure which episode will feature shops or bars or cafes/restaurants. It’s like a big jigsaw puzzle. The programme producers have to see which locations will fit with the number of contestants they have left.

There is no commitment at this stage. Initially the programme organisers just want to see who is interested in taking part and if the space they have could work for the show.

This Could Be A Really Exciting Opportunity

As Michelle has said, there is no commitment at this stage. But by sending her an email to begin with, a really exciting opportunity may present itself. I know if I was a shop, bar, cafe or restaurant owner I would be emailing pronto. So, have a look around your shop, bar, cafe or restaurant premises. Do they need a revamp?

I’ve just thought, that gives me even more incentive to pop out to a few pubs and restaurants when they reopen and cast my beady eye over the decour. Any excuse hey.
