Even more so in this current climate. As the news about this pandemic ebbs and flows on a daily basis it is understandable that businesses of all sizes and descriptions are concerned and confused. More so in the case of small businesses. This is where organisations like the Cheshire and Warrington Growth Hub and Blue Orchid are so very important. As more and more packages emerge, a small business may well welcome news of additional assistance. This time in the shape of a Cheshire and Warrington Restructure Grant.

“Cheshire and Warrington LEP have announced a £1 million, Cheshire and Warrington Restructure grant, which will open soon.

The grant will offer businesses funding up to 80% to a maximum of £5,000 on capital items.

The grant will help SMEs find innovative ways of working within the new three-tier Local Covid Alert Levels and will pay towards capital items businesses may need to recover or restructure, to trade through the Covid-19 outbreak.

Examples of capital items that can be provided include:

IT Equipment

Tablets used to support ‘test & trace’ obligations and contactless payments.

Fixed PPE equipment

Plastic screens and sanitiser dispensers.

Building alterations

Creation of one-way systems, building of outdoor seating, serving hatches etc.

Investments to offset lost sales

Establishing online delivery and digital ordering systems.

Cheshire and Warrington Recovery Grant – Opening Date

What I have found on occasions in my experience over the years is that many small businesses do not access grants for two small, simple reasons. Firstly, they are not aware of them. And secondly, they don’t know what’s entailed. Here you have the solution to both of those issues.
