Chester Zoo Live Virtual Day

Looking out of my window this morning and seeing the beautiful sunshine, I’m thinking, “I hope the weather is nice tomorrow.” And why would that be you may wonder. The post headline tells you why. Tomorrow sees another Chester Zoo live virtual day. It will be live tour number six as it stands.

But if we’re indoors why does the weather matter? Several reasons actually. Firstly, it’s a better experience for the zookeepers I would imagine. Secondly, a sunny day at Chester Zoo is a bit special isn’t it, even if enjoyed on screen. And thirdly, it is better for the stars of the show – the animals.

So, let’s get the message out there again. Chester Zoo live virtual day number six starts tomorrow – 15th May – at 10am.

And what is tomorrow’s theme? Anyone who has joined any of the previous tours will know that each tour has it’s own main theme. Tomorrow’s is no different. The focus will be on endangered species. And as you know there are too many of those knocking about in the world today.

Chester Zoo Live Virtual Day – Line Up

Here’s the line up of events you can expect tomorrow:

10:00 – 10:20 – One Horned Rhinos – Join them for breakfast. Enjoy your tea and toast with these prehistoric-looking giants!

11:00 – 11:20 – Mountain Chicken Frogs – If you missed having your breakfast, then what about brunch with one of the world’s BIGGEST frog species. Sadly they are on the very brink of extinction.

12:00 – 12:20 – Northern Cheetahs – Time for a spot of lunch for these world’s fastest land animals.

13:00 – 13:20 – Tropical Birds (Tropical Realm) – Enjoy a splash of colour as you will witness so many colourful characters! How many will you spot?

14:00 – 14:20 – Orangutan Hang! – Hang out with the super-charismatic Bornean and Sumatran orangutans! Characters one and all.

15:00 – 15:20 – Visayan Warty Pigs – Finish the session by meeting the critically endangered pigs. A cool name, also the name of a punk band!
