Whoa, whoa scammers. Take a day off will yer!!! Scammers at any time are without a doubt the lowest of the low. But during these troubled times!! You do struggle for words really don’t you. I must admit I froze a bit when I saw the headline. Puppy Fraud During Covid-19 Lockdown suggests that these delightful people have managed to get dogs involved in their dreadful scams.
But in essence no dogs are involved really. Because that is the scam actually. People are getting all excited and paying for puppies to make a loving addition to their families only to find the puppies don’t exist.
Thanks again John from Blacon for the article. Hopefully though there will come a time when these scam messages scale down. Or even better, they cease completely. But as I mentioned in one of my posts yesterday, pigs might fly.

“Puppy fraud is on the increase during this lockdown period.
People in Cheshire have paid breeders in good faith, only to find the puppy never existed.
As you can’t physically go to see an animal at this time, our advice would be to not hand any money over until a time comes when you are allowed to go and see it and collect in person.
If you have any suspicions, do not go ahead with the purchase.

Sorry there we go. Scammers are into puppy fraud now. What next? Selling their own grannies? Maybe not worth joking about as it may well give these individuals ideas.
Puppy Fraud and Other Frauds After Lockdown Ends
As I’ve said, these scam alerts are coming through thick and fast at the moment. In the ideal world, when we emerge from this period a few things will happen. In more general terms the world becomes a better place. Included in that broad statement would be the hope scammers really look to earn an honest living.
It takes a really specially dreadful person to carry out these scams. Also, when we are back to normal-ish, hopefully I will start to get Cheshire Police alert messages announcing that these scammers have been caught.
I made a decision when I started this website that I would not get involved in any politics on this website. And also not to have it as an extension to BBC’s Crimewatch. But when it comes to scams it is felt that it is necessary – vital in fact – to spread the word about these despicable acts. Especially as many of the scams target the more vulnerable.
So, climbing down from my soapbox I really do hope I get messages of scammers being caught. It would be great to name and shame them.
