Charity Scam Alerts

It seems that a week of posts wouldn’t be complete without a scam alert update. Very unfortunate, but very necessary to give them a mention. This one is an update on charity scam alerts. It is another Cheshire Police alert very kindly sent to me by John from Blacon. Thanks again, much appreciated.

Let’s hope these scammers get the message some day soon and go and earn a proper living. Ooohhh, that was close. Nearly got my head knocked off by a flying pig then!!! You can but hope though can’t you.

Anyway, here’s the charity scam alerts update.

Charity Scam Alerts

The main gist of the message is that charities have suspended doorstep collections for the time being. And, as all their shops are closed also, have a look at this official message:

“All of the major UK charities have suspended their doorstep collections and closed their shops.

We are still receiving reports of bags being left and collected. If you are aware of any such activity please advise the police as it is highly likely to be illegal activity.

Descriptions and vehicles registrations are always useful. #bewarethesam
