Hoole Christmas Lights 2019

Ho, ho, ho……’tis nearly the season to be jolly!!! Doesn’t Christmas get earlier and earlier every year!!! Well, not Christmas itself of course, but the preparations and build up to be more precise. So, here I am in the middle of October already giving a mention to the festive season. One reason to kick the festive mentions off early is because in some quarters, this year happens to be an extra bit special. Why is that and where is that? Why, in Hoole of course in case you didn’t know. As it happens, the Hoole Christmas Lights 2019 switch on is the 20th year of this hugely popular event.

Yes, 20 years of Hoole Christmas Lights switch ons. How good is that. A huge pat on the back to those local Hoole residents, communities and businesses who have arranged the event for all these years.

I have attended every year since I moved to Hoole, so I can say from experience that it is such a well organised, well populated, very enjoyable and massively popular event. So popular for young, not so young, not so old and old alike. A real lively, festive occasion to really look forward to.

I’m sure this year won’t be any different. Especially as it is a special occasion, with it being the event’s 20th birthday.

Hoole Christmas Lights 2019 – Make A Note In Your Diary

So, it is highly recommended that you make a note in your diary of this brilliant event. When is it? Hang on, hang on, I’m getting to that bit – wow, you really are keen to find out more aren’t you!!

Queue drumroll…………

Hoole Christmas Lights 2019…….is being held on Saturday 23rd November 2019, commencing at 4pm. Have you got that? Put it in your diaries, write it on a piece of paper with a colourful marker pen and ‘fridge magnet’ it to your fridge door.

As is the case with so many of these events, a lot of the time, the onus on organising and funding falls on a few participants. There is no doubt that the occasion is celebrated and enjoyed by thousands. So on that note, allow me to make a request on behalf of the organisers.

This Year Is To Be The Biggest And Best Ever

This year, as it is the 20th birthday, the aim is to make it the biggest and best ever. In order to achieve that, it is expected that the costs will be higher than other years. So, may I be cheeky and put a link here below to the event’s funding page.

These sort of events rely on contributions from businesses and the public. And I know only too well that organising them involves a lot of hard work. Hard work carried out by volunteers who give up their own time to put on a memorable event that is enjoyed and remembered by thousands.

I have it on good authority that if the funds will stretch to it, the organisers are planning to buy TWO mince pies for the big fella in the red suit with the white beard.
