Clubs and Organisations Upcoming Events

Following on from my earlier post about the existence the clubs and organisations in and around the Chester area, I have discovered even more. Rather than list them all again in this post, I will select some of the clubs and organisations upcoming events. This way you can see what the club or organisation are about and what they have planned. For simplicity I will set up a separate category for each of the clubs and organisations.

Apologies if some of the events are at a short notice. In future posts the aim will be to report them as early as possible.

Clubs and Organisations Upcoming Events

Hoole History & Heritage Society

This evening (23rd May) there is a guided walk along Hoole Road. The walk will be exploring the role of the various buildings and their significance in Hoole and Newton.

You can join this walk by meeting outside the Flookersbrook Pub at 7.30pm.

Blacon Community Cyberspace

You can enjoy free use of computers and internet access every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning at the new Enterprise Centre, The Parade, Blacon. Help is available if required.

Ballroom and Sequence Dancing – Saltney Tavern

Fancy a bop? If so, why not pop along to the Saltney Tavern, High Street, Saltney. You can enjoy a night of ballroom and sequence dancing on a traditional sprung dance floor every Thursday. Dancing takes place between 8pm-10pm to music performed different artists every week.

Admission is £4.00 per person. Bar facilities are available.

Buddhist Meditation and Discussion Group

Clubs and Organisations Upcoming Events

A small, friendly, established group who hold regular meetings every Wednesday evening between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. You can attend these meetings at the Chester Quaker Meeting House, Frodsham Street. Entrance is £8.00 per session, concessions available.

Oddfellows Friendly Society – High Street, Saltney

Visitors are welcome at the weekly coffee mornings held every Thursday from 10.30am to 12.00pm.

Scrabble sessions – Tuesdays from 10.00 to 12.00pm.

Baby and toddler play sessions – also Tuesdays from 10.00 to 12.00pm.

All events open to everyone at a cost of £1.00 each.

Urban Sanctuary

All visitors are welcome at 3rd Space, an urban sanctuary, held every Wednesday (11.00am to 4.00pm) and again on Fridays between 1.00pm and 5.30pm at St. Peter’s Church by The Cross. These events include a reading club and a range of free workshops.

These are just a few of the Clubs and Organisations upcoming events that are occurring over the next few days or so. I know I haven’t covered them all but from now on I’ll be looking to notify such events in a bit more structured way.
